1. Plan ahead. Most Brides begin planning their wedding 9 Months to a year in advance but wait until the last minute to hire a DJ. When you start planning your reception don't forget the most important ingredient to a fun reception, your mobile DJ.

2. Shop for quality. Sometimes easier said than done when the typical bride might not fully understand what "quality" in a mobile DJ service is. The idea is to generally see and evaluate mobile DJs in exactly the same light as you see and evaluate things like hotels, cars, and doctors. Do not assume that all mobile DJ companies are alike. Do assume that high quality will cost more than low quality.

3. Realize the importance of the DJ to your wedding reception's success. National magazine surveys report that happy brides consistently say that the DJ was most responsible for their wedding reception's success. The average percentage of importance they've assigned is 70%. Some people will remember your gorgeous wedding dress. Some people will remember great food, some will remember a beautiful cake. Everybody will remember whether they had a good time or not.

4. Make sure your DJ knows what you want and expect BEFORE your wedding day. Fill out your questionnaire and arm your DJ with as much personal information as you can.

5. Get and check references. Talking to friends, family are a great way to check a DJ service's reputation in your city. Ask your photographer, videographer, caterer, banquet manager about the DJ service you are considering.

6. Ensure that your vision of your wedding day becomes a reality. If those happy brides are even close to right that the entertainment was 70% responsible for the wedding reception's success, then it appears that the DJ's responsibly goes quite a bit further than "just playing music." The best ones understand this and have taken mobile DJ entertainment from a job to an art. That's why they are consistently referred, and are booked 6 months in advance. Don't try to use only your leftover time and spend only your leftover money, or you will probably end up with a leftover DJ.

The website made me feel very comfortable, primarily because I was able to "meet" the DJs. They all looked fun and laid-back, so that put me at ease! First of all, I didn't know it's customary to "tip" a DJ until I read this survey, so I feel bad about that considering that AARON WAS AMAZING!! Everyone kept commenting on how great he was and what a great DJ he is. In fact, when my friends left they were saying that we need to have an anniversary bash at some point and it wouldn't be the same without Aaron as the DJ. :) I cannot say enough about how fun he was and how comfortable he made us.
